Staffordshire UniversityGamesI wasn't sure what I wanted to do for a long time, I loved maths and computer science so followed that through into games, I'm hoping to be a part of a big studio making games before setting up my own indie studio Aaliyah
University of HertfordshireAnimation, film, games and creative mediaHi, I'm Aaliyah! I am a final-year Games Art student and want to work hard to hone my skills and improve as a character artist! I am also a producer so if you want to talk about that specialism within Games and VFX then feel free to ask. You might be feeling a bit worried or uneasy about what there is and what the course entails but I am here to answer all your questions. No matter how big the question or how small :) Whilst I'm not in the other animation pathways (3D/VFX, 2D animation, Comic & Concept Art) I can always give my knowledge in those areas too. Just pop a message over! Very excited to talk about the courses with you :D Clarissa

Abertay UniversityBSc (Hons) Computer Game Applications DevelopmentPassionate about games programming, I am constantly on the lookout for new knowledge in the field. My primary interest is in creating engaging gaming experiences. I find joy in playing story-driven games during my leisure time and have a particular interest for the nostalgic music of 1980s Japanese city pop. Excited to share my experiences, especially about university life, I am ready to guide and provide insights based on my journey. Osher
Bournemouth UniversityBA (Hons) Computer Animation Technical ArtsHi I’m Osher :) I’m studying Computer Animation Technical Arts. My passion is 3d animation. My goal is to work on films and tv shows, be responsible for scenes in films that I like and know what’s happening behind the scenes Ellis
Abertay UniversityBA (Hons) Game Design and ProductionHi, I'm Ellis! I was a direct entrant from high school to university in 2023. I'm particularly interested in Narrative Design, Level Design, and Production in terms of studies, and I enjoy games driven by their story. I'm also a huge Star Wars fan and English Literature fan. I'm happy to chat about my experiences with Abertay, Dundee itself, or anything else that comes to mind! James
University of WarwickBiochemistry (MBio)I studied Biology, chemistry, maths and french for A levels and chose to do biochemistry at Warwick because of the opportunity to complete a paid research placement and complete your masters at the same time. I also love the campus vibes and felt very at home when I first visited. I am passionate about research, especially in the field of antimicrobial resistance. In the summer I will be conducting a research project using AlphaFold to model the Enzymes involved in the production of a gram-negative enterobacterial cell surface protein called the O-antigen polysaccharide. The aim of the research is to build more accurate 3D models of the enzymes involved and test different ligands to see if they can act as inhibitors. These can then be tested for the ability to form novel antibiotics. My career ambitions are not that clear to me yet. After my Industrial Masters I would I may want to go into a research role. However, I also have a passion for finance, so I am currently gaining experience in this industry alongside my degree so to have as many options as possible for the future. James
Bournemouth UniversityBA (Hons) Media ProductionI am a (by definition only) mature student studying Media Production. I spent my career in retail and hospitality. I lived in New Zealand for three years running a hotel/hot pool resort in a remote part of the South Island. I returned to England just before the pandemic took hold, reflecting on what direction I wanted my life to go in, I made the decision to follow my passions and applied to University. Bournemouth University is amazing! I have already been granted so many opportunites, and it is one of the most inclusive environments I have evert been a part of. James
University of LincolnMedia (including by practice) - MPhil/PhDOver the past 9 years, I've been deeply involved in performing arts, where I've explored theatre, dance, and singing. These experiences have taught me a lot about expressing myself and have built my confidence a lot. Now, I'm excited to explore the world of media and acting in the future. I'm drawn to the idea of bringing characters to life on screen and telling stories in new ways. Combining my background in performing arts with this new adventure feels like the perfect next step. Whilst studying I have also gained an extra passion for radio which has broadened my skillset, and my course has really allowed me to hone my skills and a whole bunch of new ones. Along with all this I have met a lot of amazing people and been very comfortable studying.
