Hello! I'm Carolina (she/her), an international student from Portugal and Cape Verde. Previous to studying in London I was on a Gap Year, where I volunteered, travelled and I was able to understand what I wanted to study. In the future, I want to work in the Public Policy sector, and maybe do some work with NGOs and charities. I love dancing, checking out live music events, going out with friends, and any sort of terrible reality TV show. Feel free to ask me questions about uni life, living abroad, or anything you feel uncertain about, and I will do my best to help!

I have studied a BA in Social Policy, Crime and Criminal Justice at the University of York and decided to work two years in the industry. I worked as an early intervention caseworker, advocating for children’s and youth’s rights fleeing abuse or in gang related violence. I am studying a MA in International Child Rights and development at Kings College London, with the aim of becoming an International Children’s Rights lawyer with expertise in post-conflict areas and war related crimes.
