Contextual admissions for Home students
We understand that some students face extra challenges that can affect their grades. Our contextual admissions approach takes these barriers into account.
If you’re eligible to be considered for our contextual admissions approach at Imperial, you could get:
- a guaranteed minimum offer
- a guaranteed interview
- extra support to help you transition from school to life at Imperial

Financial support, bursaries and scholarships
Our Student Financial Support team can offer money management advice and help with questions about loans, scholarships and studentships.
We also offer a range of scholarships and bursaries tailored to different subject areas, nationalities and personal circumstances – including the Imperial Bursary for Home students which offers up to £5,000 each year to support your living costs

Supporting your wellbeing
Your wellbeing matters here. That’s why we provide a wide range of services to respond to any challenges you might face while studying at Imperial. This includes:
Student support teams can help you with practical advice on things like finances, accommodation or visas.
Personal tutors provide guidance and academic advice, and can help you access additional support for your studies.
Student Wellbeing Advisers in departments can support you and provide help and advice when you need it.
Out-of-hours support for anyone living in our halls.
Our Student Counselling and Mental Health Advice Service offers short-term counselling as well as educational workshops to help you look after your own mental health and wellbeing.
