Student support

Making University accessible to everyone:

Harper Adams University is committed to bringing fresh talent into the industries we serve, regardless of background. As a result, we have developed a range of measures and initiatives to give everyone the best chance to access our undergraduate degree programmes. Find out more.

Student Support

Starting university is exciting but is also a big step: living away from home, making new friends, finding your feet. It's natural to feel nervous but we're here to support you.

We want you to be happy and successful here, so don't keep problems to yourself. Whatever you need, from support with disabilities or learning difficulties to homesickness or illness let us know and we'll do our best to help.

You'll find everything you need in the Faccenda student centre, the home of our friendly Student Services team and Students' Union. Experienced advisors can help you with anything from accommodation, managing money, careers and placements, through to health and wellbeing support, including for disabilities or learning needs.

Learner support

Learner support includes both the Learner Support and the Academic Guidance teams. Support includes the development of study strategies and guidance on disability support. All students are welcome to discuss support.

Wellbeing

We can help you with all aspects of wellbeing, including referrals to counselling or mental health services. The Student Services team can also signpost to services outside of the university, if needed. If you’re finding things difficult and need support, Harper Adams has a dedicated Student Wellbeing Officer who can help you during your time at university. We also have a mental health advisor and counselling support.

Health

We can signpost you to help you access NHS doctors, hospital or dental services in our local area.

Spiritual and faith support

We offer chaplaincy, a faith room, religious societies and guidance on local places to worship.

Financial support

With advisors and a range of sources of financial aid, students just need to talk to the support team to get the guidance on any financial worries. We also have an extensive scholarship programme.
