Helping You Thrive in Music and Creative Studies
At ICMP, the wellbeing and success of our students come first. Our dedicated Student Support Team is here to ensure every student, receives the guidance, advice, and practical help needed to thrive. From your first week to your final performance or project, our tutors, the Wellbeing Team, Careers Team, and more - are all by your side, helping you navigate university life with confidence.
We provide support across every aspect of student life. Whether you need help with learning challenges, mental health, wellbeing, finance, or accessibility, ICMP has you covered. Our team can assist with dyslexia screenings, Disabled Students’ Allowance applications, and arranging the right academic adjustments so you can study comfortably and effectively. If you need extra guidance, we’ll connect you with counselling, academic mentoring, or specialist services tailored to your needs.
Mental health is a priority at ICMP. Support is accessible and straightforward, with drop-in sessions, wellbeing workshops, and safe spaces where you can speak openly and confidentially. Professional counselling sessions are available free of charge, helping you stay balanced while pursuing your creative ambitions.
We also offer access to Togetherall, a 24/7 online community where students can share experiences and receive support from trained professionals and peers—completely anonymously. Whether it’s a stressful night before an audition or a moment of self-doubt during your coursework, help is always just a click away.
Financial support is available to ensure you can focus on your studies. ICMP provides bursaries and scholarships (subject to availability), including awards for care-experienced, estranged, or financially challenged students. These programmes are designed to reduce financial pressures so you can concentrate on your music, performance, or production goals.
The Student Voice - it is central to life at ICMP. Course representatives share feedback directly with staff, and changes are made based on what students say. From improved studio access to upgraded equipment and enhanced wellbeing initiatives, your input actively shapes your learning environment.
ICMP is committed to inclusion and accessibility, opening doors to students from all backgrounds. Our flexible course structures, including accelerated programmes, help students complete degrees efficiently and affordably.
At ICMP, success isn’t just about mastering music—it’s about becoming confident, resilient, and connected.
