Meet the panel

Meg Ginsberg – apprentice ambassador

Meg joined South West Water two years ago on a Level 4 Project Management Apprenticeship. Now a project manager, she recently started a Level 6 Project Management Degree Apprenticeship at Exeter University. Meg is also a SWAAN County Lead Ambassador helping to increase awareness for students considering an apprenticeship.

Emily Pearson – Pennon Group Apprenticeship Manager

Emily Pearson leads Pennon's award-winning apprenticeship program and is developing a forward-looking Work Experience initiative. Her commitment to nurturing talent is inspired by the meaningful support she received early in her career. Beyond Pennon, Emily serves as co-vice chair on the South West Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, championing apprenticeships and fostering regional collaboration. She is also a board director for the Devon Chamber of Commerce, where she actively advances strategic goals to strengthen regional business support and impact.

Nicky Henderson – Operational Lead, Devon, Plymouth & Torbay Careers Hub

Nicky manages the Careers Hub team and supports all state-funded secondary education (mainstream, special educational needs, alternative provision academies & post-16 colleges) across Devon to develop their careers education provision, to link education with the world of work. She is also responsible for the Cornerstone Employer Group which is a group of high-profile businesses that work together to elevate the careers conversation across their sectors and supply chains. She is passionate about making sure that all young people, and their families, are aware of all opportunities open to them regardless of background or circumstance.

Jo Bishop – RCDP Springpod Schools and Colleges Outreach Lead

From university course tasters to work experience, Springpod's programmes enable young people to explore, interact and learn about university and the world of work before they apply. Springpod has collaborated with UCAS to offer students free access to their Subject Spotlights and Virtual Work Experiences.

Siobhan Williams – UCAS Business Engagement Manager

Siobhan supports organisations in building meaningful connections with potential applicants nationwide. Committed to enhancing parity between traditional full-time higher education routes and apprenticeships, Siobhan works to empower students to make more informed decisions about their future pathways.
