Rachel has a degree and diploma from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL and a PhD from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Imperial College London. She has worked in practice on projects such as housing for the Greenwich Millennium Village, and the extension of King’s Cross main station.                        

She has been a Lecturer in Structural Design for three years in the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture at the University of Bath, and for six years in the School of Architecture at the University of Sheffield, before joining Loughborough University in 2017.
