Summary
For those new to undergraduate recruitment, admissions, or marketing, UCAS processes and procedures can initially pose a daunting prospect. Through a mixture of presentation, group activities, and discussion, this session will guide delegates through their first admissions cycle, examining the operational calendar, dates and deadlines, the key features of the scheme, and the application journey.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the session participants will:
- be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the undergraduate admissions scheme and calendar
- be able to identify key aspects of UCAS’ role and providers’ responsibilities
- be able to articulate how Extra, Clearing, and Adjustment complement the main scheme to facilitate the successful placement of applicants with a suitable provider
