UWE BristolArtFor me, everything started when I was in kindergarten. My days would be spent singing, dancing, painting, making bread and climbing every tree in the garden. After kindergarten, I went to the Music Conservatory where I graduated after 11 years of playing the flute. However, that was not enough so I continued to explore what art could mean and how many forms it could have. So, at 18 I decided to have my first ballet class. It was then that I discovered my passion for dance and performance and decided to dedicated myself intensively to the dance world until COVID-19 hit. It was during lockdown that I became interested in learning how to sew so I could create costumes to empower my performances. I started making my own video dances and films. Now, I am not only a musician and a performer, but I am also a costume-maker and set designer. Nikolaos
University of the Arts LondonBA (Hons) Fine Art: PaintingI have previously studied Economics and Finance and after 10 years I have decided to change my career and I am currently studying Fine Art at the University of the Arts London (UAL) specializing primarily in painting. My practice is mainly about identity, places, form and light. I am also creating resin and pebble jewelry and decorations. Talya
University of ReadingBA Art and PsychologyHello! My name is Talya and I'm currently studying Art & Psychology in my 3rd year. I have a wide range of interests such as art history, movies & tv, and animal rescue, as well as plenty of experience as an independent international student living away from home. If you have any questions feel free to contact me! Anastasiia
University of EssexArt HistoryI am a 28 y.o. PhD student with a background in Museum Studies (St Petersburg State University of Culture) and Curatorial Research (St Petersburg State University). My PhD is sponsored by Essex's Human Rights Centre. I'm here to help you start your academic journey with the UoE. Ask me anything about PGR studies at Essex (especially PHAIS), financial support for international students, accommodation, life on and off campus (especially cultural events, e.g. museums, theatres, etc.) and what it's like to live in the UK/Colchester (e.g. what's there for people from my (and probably yours!) part of the globe, such as where we celebrate Orthodox Easter!). Fun facts about me: travelled to 30+ countries; have a cute little chinchilla named Pyshka 🍩; learnt that all stereotypes about British weather are true yet still enjoy it here. Benjamina Efua
University of East Anglia UEAArt History and World Art StudiesBefore starting my PhD I was working in the museum sector, in collections management. I am passionate about heritage and culture, and after graduating I would like to go back to this field. Beth
University of East Anglia UEAArt History and World Art StudiesIn the future I don't know exactly what I want to do but I would like to work in a museum or with conservation. I am currently completing my study abroad in Ghent, Belgium and it has been one of the best opportunities of my life, I have been able to meet people from all across the world and study new and interesting classes. I love crafts, museums and the gym. Jerusha
