I have worked at Sellafield Nuclear during my placement industrial year as a nuclear construction engineer specializing in mechanical engineering. In my spare time I attend the crafting society and go hiking and running, whilst catching Bake Off every week for new recipes.

    Hi, I’m Daniel. I am a 4th year Chemical Engineering masters student. I undertook a placement year between my 3rd & 4th years at university. I worked in Research and Development at a coffee company called Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE). This placement year massively helped me in terms of personal and professional development. I would love to answer any questions that you may have on completing a placement year and I can share more on my own experience. I love cooking and making things, going on walks in the countryside, and listening to music. After my 2nd year, I took part in a 4-week ‘sustainability & culture’ exchange programme in Malaysia, staying at Sunway University.
