When I leave University I would love to be a teacher and I hope to teach on my year abroad. I love learning languages and next year, along with Spanish, I'm going to be learning British Sign Language. I love to read and that makes researching quite fun for history. I've found the style of learning in University much better than learning in school! I'm the President of the Pop Culture Society and the Welcome Team leader of the Christian Union:).

I come from the town of West Bridgford outside Nottingham in the East Midlands. I am half Indian, quarter Welsh, quarter German. I attended a state school, studying Law, Economics and History for A Level. My passion for all things history led me to pursue a bachelor's degree in it at Durham University. I'm currently undecided as to my career plans, but I'm considering either going into academia, the civil service, or journalism.

I am a current undergraduate second-year history student at Coventry University who is keen to harness the opportunities offered by my course to develop the transferable skills I require to perform to the best of my ability in the world of work. As a member of the Coventry University History Society, I value the opportunity to build connections, socialise with people inside and outside my course, and build up my knowledge and experience in my subject. I regularly search for new interests to broaden my experiences in outdoor and sports activities, including hiking, running, cycling and swimming, which are particularly enjoyable for me. Upon completing my course, I plan to apply for jobs in areas of interest or a graduate scheme. I am interested in a career in civil service, particularly in foreign relations, so my history course provides the perfect opportunity to build on my critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which would be essential for this career path.

After a previous career in Social Housing and third sector organisations, I decided to complete a BA in History. I had put my children through university and thought it was my turn to have a go.  I live off campus and still work part time (bank) to fit in with my studies.

Hi! I am Sophie and I am currently studying History at the University of Lincoln. I have always had a particular interest in History as I have always loved to read. I would love a career in the publishing industry as the opportunity to work with books is my absolute dream! I also love to travel, especially to Greece which is my favourite place in the world! Everything from the villages to the food is my absolute favourite. I also love to cook and bake whenever I get the opportunity, especially whilst listening to Taylor Swift. University has been a wonderful experience for me and I would love to help anyone looking to follow the same path :)

Hello, my name is Tre, I am a home student living in accommodation on campus, and I am studying Military and International History. The reason for my choice in degree is due to it being related to my personal interests, family history and aligns with my intentions to join the RAF once I have finished university at Brunel. Alongside my degree I am a member of Brunel's target shooting club and take German language lessons, and hoping to spend my 2nd year studying abroad.
