Hello! I am an international student here at Brunel, from Bangladesh but grown up around the world. In addition to Bangladesh, I have lived in the U.S., Denmark and Austria! In the future I hope to pursue a career revolving health and fitness, with a role where I can help people achieve their goals. In my free time I love going to the gym, cooking myself fun meals, playing video games and hanging out with my friends. In high school, I completed the IB diploma program with Psychology, Geography and English literature as my high level subjects.

Shiam
Brunel University of London
Electronic and Electrical Engineering
Hello,
I’m Shiam Rahman, and I’m currently studying Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Brunel University.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by electronic devices and how they work. Electrical engineering is like the "black magic" of engineering—it’s all happening behind the scenes, and yet, every little interaction, like the click of a button, is the result of someone’s design and innovation. I’m excited to dive deeper into how these systems work and, one day, be part of the tech industry that shapes our future.
Beyond engineering, I have a strong passion for art and design. I love drawing and painting people, and I also have skills in graphic design, image manipulation, and animation. My creative side really complements my technical interests, and I enjoy finding ways to blend the two.
At Brunel, I also work as a Student Recruitment and Widening Access Ambassador. It’s such a rewarding experience, and I love being part of a community that is all about supporting each other. Brunel is a fantastic place to study, make new friends, and take advantage of amazing facilities and support. I’d love to see you here!

Hey there! I'm Mihini, a third-year undergrad studying Economics at UofG. I was born in Dubai, UAE and moved to Qatar when I was nine although I am originally from Sri Lanka. As an international student, I know how daunting moving to a different country and starting university can be and hopefully, UniBuddy will help ease some of that stress. I hope to answer any questions you may have about the university and my experiences and I'll get back to you as soon as possible!
