Geology [BSc/MSci]

Hey! I’m Jess, a fourth year undergraduate Geology student with hopes to go into the fields of either volcanology, geotechnical engineering or the energy sector. I come from the Lake District in the UK which probably led to my interest in geology and the environment as well as growing up watching disaster films such as Dante’s peak leading to an interest in natural disasters (particularly volcanoes). I have A-levels in geology, geography and environmental science and have studied geography as an elective subject alongside my degree. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have :)

Hi! I'm a first year Psychology and Spanish student. I'm happy to answer any question you have about the Uni, my course, or student life. After my A levels I took a gap year, then came to Uni. I hope to work in the field of psychology one day, and I am studying Spanish to be able to improve my Spanish and learn more about Hispanic cultures. I want to learn more languages in the future, at the minute I am learning Italian through one of the evening classes the Uni offers.

BSc Forensic Psychology (including Foundation Year)

I am torn between continuing forensic psychology further - either to be a Psychologist helping in prisons, or to switch to an advanced detective course with the NCA or MI5. However, I am also interested in Animal Psychology and being a keeper for Big Cats.

I also have history with mental health and autism, so don't be afraid to ask any questions!

Hey! I'm Jess, I'm 22 years old and am currently in my second year at the University of Essex. I originally studied nursing here at Essex, however took a big leap to study with the Interdisciplinary department after deciding I wanted a more ''corporate'' career. 
I now study a variety of modules, such as economics, management and approaching complex problems such as climate change. 
In the future, I hope to work with international organisations and am currently considering a placement year :)

After finishing my MA in Nineteenth Century literature and culture at Chester University, I wanted to carry on studying, so I enrolled on the PhD programme that I'm currently studying.  I would like to be a lecturer in this subject and research it further post PhD.
