Student life

Two University of Surrey alumni won Oscars in 2023 - having honed their acting chops at some of the best performing arts facilities in the UK. The Library and Learning Centre have seen millions invested in them over the last five years. Expect amazing simulation opportunities, a fully operational pilot process plant, wind tunnels, ion beam facilities, flight simulators, a courtroom, and a Clinical Simulation Centre.

Surrey’s famous Guildford School of Acting presents excellent plays and musicals. Our £36m Surrey Sports Park hosts regular live sporting events.

The Students’ Union is the heart of social life, with Rubix, the 1.5k capacity venue, casual Hari’s Bar, the Basement for smaller events and a whole range of clubs and societies.
