With public festivals, more theatres and museums than any other UK city outside London and an active sports scene, you won't be short of things to do!

The John Moores Student Union (JMSU) helps you get involved in the student community through more than 100 student groups and societies, plus exclusive events all year. Our newly-built Student Life Building acts as a central hub to socialise, study and access a range of student services, such as careers advice and our Heatlh and Wellbeing team.

The North West is made up of Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and Merseyside. Its two biggest cities, Liverpool and Manchester, are global landmarks in music and football history.

The region was the heart of the industrial revolution – at one time, Lancashire produced half the world’s cotton. Many architectural reminders of this era remain, like Liverpool’s Royal Albert Docks and Chester's Victorian centre.

The stunning Lake District – home to England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike – needs no filters, while Blackpool is a seaside adventure.

Campus and facilities

We have two campuses here at LJMU, housing excellent facilities such as our professionally-equipped TV studio and our professional-standard clinical practice suites. Our campuses are City Campus and Mount Pleasant, both of which are easily accessible from the city centre and provide a modern and inspiring learning space for all of our students. Our campuses are a bustling hive of activity - people will be studying, chatting over a coffee, relaxing with friends or taking part in one of our events.

We have impressive plans for our campuses - plans that will benefit not only our students and staff, but also people living, working or visiting Liverpool.
