Chris Moule
Biography
Chris Moule is the Head of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Robert Gordon University (RGU) based in Aberdeen, Scotland, where he leads the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Group (EIG). He is responsible for the RGU startup accelerator programmes and the RGU digital incubator in city center. He actively works with entrepreneurial students, staff and graduates, and contributes to the regional innovation and entrepreneurship eco-system. He mentors a number of start up companies.
RGU was recognized for its achievements with the Herald Education Award for ‘Outstanding Business Engagement in Universities’ in 2019, and was the only Scottish University to be shortlisted for the Times Higher Education ‘Outstanding Entrepreneurial’ University.
Chris has spoken on Innovation and Entrepreneurship at a number of conferences including the University Business Incubator (UBI) Conference in Doha and the Times Higher Education Digital Universities Conference earlier this year.
Chris has worked in Higher Education for the past 20 years and was previously Enterprise Manager at the University of Strathclyde where he set up and led the Strathclyde Entrepreneurial Network (SEN) to stimulate and foster entrepreneurship and connect alumni with enterprise activity. Playing a leading role in the Research and Innovation department his team worked to stimulate and grow startup and spin outs activity, working with investor community and assisting in knowledge transfer.
Prior to joining Strathclyde Chris was a serial entrepreneur having started three of his own businesses - Stir Ltd, a retail catering business, One Stadium Ltd, a web design company and a training and development consultancy, Green Envelope.
Chris regularly presents on the subject of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, The Future of Work and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
