Open Farm Sunday

Open Farm Sunday is a national initiative and this year the theme is nature. We displaying why Boltons Park Farm is unique given its importance for RVC teaching and research. There will be a range of science and farm animal linked activities for visitors of all ages.

This FREE annual event is a fantastic opportunity for everyone, young and old to have a good look at a modern dairy farm.

LEAF Open Farm Sunday 2024 at Boltons Park Farm will take place on Sunday 9th June 2024 10am - 3.30pm

If you’ve ever wondered what goes on at Boltons Park Farm, now is your chance to find out! Visit with your family and friends and join in the fun.

We will be showcasing science, teaching methods and various animals including our sheep, chickens and cows on our working farm which is also used for the education of veterinary students.

Activities include:
See animals at the teaching farm of the Royal Veterinary College
Look down the microscope yourself and find out about our science discoveries
See our dairy herd and buy their fresh milk
Meet students and take part in fun activities to learn more about farm animals
Find out how we use innovative technology to improve animal welfare
Hear about biodiversity in our area
Meet the Police Rural Support team
Refreshments and local produce available
Free parkingRefreshments and some farm produce available. Picnic area available.

The visit is suitable for families and the majority of the site accessible to wheelchairs. Parking is available in one of our farm fields - lookout for parking signs and marshalls to direct you on arrival. There is no fee.

No dogs please. Sensible footwear recommended.

Afternoon Anatomy - Autumn 2025

This day visit to the RVC's Camden Campus allows students to experience learning at the RVC through workshops, an anatomy quiz in our museum and a session with our live calves. Students will also have the opportunity to tour campus with our student ambassadors receiving advice and information.
