Rising popularity of creative arts among Chinese students can help maintain UK’s competitive global position
UK universities should take advantage of Chinese students’ rising interest in creative arts degrees to remain competitive on the world stage, a new report has found.
Record proportion of English and Scottish 18 year olds accepted into university
33.7 per cent of all 18 year olds from England, and 26.7 per cent from Scotland, were accepted through UCAS to start an undergraduate course in 2018. Northern Ireland and Wales saw entry rates similar to 2016.
Mature students – local, focused, and female
Research published by UCAS today shows that mature students are more likely to apply to universities and colleges close to home, primarily for a limited selection of vocational subjects, and when there are fewer jobs available.
More support needed for HE students with non-traditional qualifications
The 2016 qualification landscape is more diverse than ever before and not yet fully understood by universities, employers, teachers and students, according to a new UCAS study.
