Hiya! I'm Grace, a current Adult Nursing student in my third year at the University of Surrey. Feel free to ask as many questions :) My university journey is as follows: I went to sixth form and applied to Surrey. I confirmed them however did not achieve the exact grades I required so went through clearing and managed to get the foundation year for the exact course I originally applied for.  I have now completed my foundation year, first and second year of nursing. I also stayed in university accommodation if you would like to speak to someone about it.

I chose to come to Glasgow because of the flexibility they offered with their degree plans; I initially enrolled in a Psychology degree, but have since changed my degree to Chemistry! Next year, I will be on a placement year in Industry, and I hope to work in research in the future! I love studying in Glasgow, and am happy to answer any questions you may have :)

I am a Masters student studying Clinical Psychology, I recently graduated from Psychology at Reading university. I am hoping to attain a role as a clinical psychologist, working with young people and supporting them with their mental health difficulties. As an English and Creative Writing student, I am passionate about becoming a screenwriter. My dream is to work for a video game company, like Riot Games or Bethesda, and help adapt their games into a television show; the new show Fallout is a wonderful example of this. I am also currently writing my creative final project as my own original screenplay based on the humour of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I am constantly in the middle of reading numerous books but these are some of my favourites: Brave New World, The Witcher series, Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. Some of my favourite video games: Legend of Zelda, Skyrim, Dragon Age, League of Legends, etc. Some of my favourite manga/anime: Sakamoto Days, Spy x Family, One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan. My name is Kirsty, and I'm a 23-year-old third year student pursuing a degree in Psychology with Criminology and Criminal Justice. I've previously worked as a qualified childcare practitioner. 

My interests lie in understanding human behavior, and in my free time, I enjoy reading, working out, and having fun.
 I'm currently learning Spanish and Welsh, and I'm also a young carer for my grandmother. If anyone else is in a similar situation, I'd be happy to share my experiences, especially if they're trying to attend university while caring for someone. As a local student, I commute to the University, and I also have dyslexia, which makes it challenging to understand coursework. However, I've developed practical techniques to overcome these hurdles and am willing to share them with anyone who might benefit. 

After completing my degree, I plan to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and eventually become a lecturer in South Wales.

I am a second-year student at City, University of London, currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science (I’m sure you haven’t heard much about this course!). My academic journey has been shaped by diverse experiences across different countries. Originally from Pakistan, I was raised in the UAE, where I developed a strong passion for both academics and sports. Representing the UAE at the U16 national level in cricket was a proud moment that taught me the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

After completing my IGCSEs in the UAE, I moved to the UK at 17 to further my education. I completed a foundation course at Kaplan, which prepared me for the rigorous academic environment at university. My dedication paid off when I secured admission into City, where I’m now delving into the world of risk and probability through my studies in Actuarial Science.

At City, I’m focused on excelling academically while also developing a well-rounded skill set for a successful career in actuarial science. My journey from Pakistan to the UAE and now to the UK has been one of growth, learning, and embracing new challenges, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next.
