Student life
At The Game Assembly UK, student life is shaped by our core values of Dedication, Respect, and Collaboration. Based in the Tea Factory in the heart of Liverpool, you’ll study in a professional studio environment designed to mirror the games industry. This isn’t a traditional classroom experience – it feels like a real game studio, where programmers, artists, and designers work side by side on team-based projects. From your very first week, you’ll collaborate across disciplines, learning to communicate, problem-solve, and create complete games together.
Beyond the studio, Liverpool offers an exciting backdrop for your student journey. Famous for its music, culture, and creativity, the city is compact, affordable, and welcoming, with inspiration around every corner. At TGA, you’ll not only gain the skills to succeed in the games industry, but also join a supportive, diverse community where collaboration, respect, and shared passion bring people together.
Campus and facilities
Our UK campus is based in the Tea Factory, a landmark creative hub in the heart of Liverpool’s Ropewalks district. Once a historic tea warehouse, it has been transformed into a vibrant space for independent businesses, artists, and innovators — and now, aspiring game developers. At The Game Assembly, we’ve created a dedicated studio-style environment that mirrors the feel of a real games studio. Instead of traditional classrooms, you’ll work in open, collaborative spaces where programmers, artists, and designers share the same floor, learning to develop complete games together.
The Tea Factory is designed for modern creative work, with high-speed fibre broadband, communal kitchens, and inspiring shared areas, plus Mother, an on-site independent coffee shop. Located just off Bold Street, the building is surrounded by Liverpool’s music, culture, and nightlife, and is only minutes from Liverpool Central and Lime Street stations —making it an accessible, inspiring place to study and create.
