Apprenticeships

UHI's apprenticeship programmes offer a range of high-quality work-based opportunities and nationally recognised qualifications from school senior phase to honours degrees.

Designed by industry, for industry, they enable employers to strengthen and upskill their existing staff and recruit new talent. For the apprentice it’s a chance to gain skills and experience alongside experts within their chosen industry, boosting their career progression potential.

Modern and Graduate Apprenticeships are for those aged 16 or over in employment and are based on partnerships between UHI and our employer partners to ensure relevant knowledge, skills and experience is provided in a way that meets both our apprentices' and employers' needs. Foundation Apprenticeships form part of our senior phase school programmes, providing the same level of learning as a higher, they are both academically challenging and vocationally comprehensive.
