I self taught photography over a number of years around work and eventually decided that I wanted to learn filmmaking skills as well, so I applied for the adventure filmmaking course on a part time basis. Over my time on the course I have learnt a lot of valuable filmmaking skills but it has also reinforced and developed my passion for photography. The adventure side of the course also helps me develop as a leader and educator in the outdoors. Using all of the skills I have learnt so far and continue to learn on the course I would love to one day lead photography and filmmaking workshops in the UK and abroad. Diego Alexander

I am a keen historian who is primarily interested in early modern history, particularly empires, royalty and gender studies. Outside of my interest in history I am very much interested in fashion, makeup, The Sims franchise and food. Alongside this I am also a keen traveller and love to go on holidays, whether in the UK or abroad and learn about new places and cultures! On my bucket list at the moment is to go to Rome and the Holy See, as well as Kensington Palace, the childhood home of Queen Victoria! After University, I am planning on going into teaching with the aim of becoming a History and Politics teacher at Secondary School and/or Sixth Form/College. I have a background of fine art which led to an interest in design and pattern making, leading now to a career interest in trend and forecasting once I complete my degree this year. Staying in Swansea has definitely opened my eyes to the balance of city life and exploring nature. One weekend could be an all day coastal walk, while the next a pub crawl around town.
