University of EssexEconomicsI came to Uni here after a long time debating it, I wasn't sure if it was for me, but since making up my mind and actually coming, despite all of the fears and worries about debt and social life and relationships and my course- its been some of the best months of my life. I've never felt as sociable as I do naturally now, and with all the new awesome people i've met in lessons / am living with, they've made me come out of my shell a lot. Living away from home was pretty weird to start off with, but honestly the university is such an accommodating and welcoming place that this just feels like a second home to me now, just as much as back home is still my "home", I feel I've settled in here really well, and I'm sure you'll do the same, so try not to let your doubts control you too much, because its an experience you don't want to miss out on Jason

University of GlasgowMA (Soc Sci) EconomicsHi there! I'm an Economics student, and I'm happy to share my experience as both a Class Rep and a student mentor for a local programme. Just so you know, I am a home student rather than an international student, but as a long-time resident of Glasgow, I can offer great local knowledge and tips on living in the city. Outside of my studies, I'm passionate about volunteering and helping others, and I love spending time on photography. Ask me anything about the Economics course, student societies, or what it's like to call Glasgow home! Mihini
University of GlasgowEconomics [BAcc/BSc/MA/LLB/MA(SocSci)]Hey there! I'm Mihini, a fourth-year undergrad studying Economics at UofG. I was born in Dubai, UAE and moved to Qatar when I was nine, although I am originally from Sri Lanka. As an international student, I know how daunting moving to a different country and starting university can be and hopefully, UniBuddy will help ease some of that stress. I hope to answer any questions you may have about the university and my experiences and I'll get back to you as soon as possible!
