    Hi, I'm Ahmed! I’m a first-year BSc Accounting and Finance student at SOAS. I chose SOAS because of its unique global perspective, diverse community, and strong emphasis on understanding finance in an international and real-world context. The course is both challenging and rewarding, offering a great mix of technical skills and critical thinking. Beyond my studies, I have a strong background in teaching and mentoring.     Hi! I'm Alexandra, in my final year of Finance with Actuarial Science. I love all things fun from enjoying the hustle and bustle of London to learning more about Finance and Actuarial Science, its exciting I get to do all that at City. A Malaysian/ Singaporean who loves cooking but also has her fair share of take outs ( I know some delicious spots!), made some good friends and have taken many flights over my term breaks. In my first and second year, I lived in Lincoln, which gave me a great experience of student life, but for my final year I’m commuting. I took a gap year before starting university where I worked and travelled, whilst deciding what I wanted my future to look like! I joined the University of Lincoln's Athletics society in September 2024, which has allowed me to make new friends, and take part in many social and competitive events. I ran my first 10k race in April 2025 with fellow society members! I live at home and commuted to campus during my first year.
