UCAS isn’t just an application – there are additional services you can sign up for to help you secure a place, and prepare for student life.
Clearing 2015 update
As part of Clearing 2015, we’re launching an additional service to applicants – designed to help those who find themselves without a university or HE college place on A level results day.
Contextual admissions
Some students face additional challenges during their education which may impact their results. Universities recognise these challenges, and can make adjustments through ‘contextual admissions’. Find out more about what this is, who is eligible, and how you qualify.
Disabled students: Financial support
Having a disability or mental health condition might mean incurring additional costs (e.g. access to specialist equipment) when accessing higher education. But don’t worry, there is financial support available.
Finding work after you graduate
As an international student, the process of getting work might be different to what you’re used to at home. There are additional rules and limitations that overseas students need to bear in mind to comply with the conditions of your visa while working.
First-generation students
Students who do not have parents or carers who have attended university themselves sometimes find it useful to have additional information and help when making their decisions and applying to higher education.
Funding
Find additional financial support for travel, meals and accommodation costs, course equipment, and childcare from one of these schemes.

Get your 11 – 14 year old students thinking about their futures with our careers planner, identifying strengths worksheet, presentation, and activities to support those with English as an additional language (EAL).

Students with parenting responsibilities
If you are responsible for the care and wellbeing of a child aged 17 or under, you may be able to access additional support while studying.
