Can we claim to know anything, when there are always possibilities which might be raised which undermine our claims to knowledge? In this online session we shall use this question as a way of understanding Descartes' method of doubt. And we'll consider a way of dealing with the scepticism it seems to generate; one which is perhaps more promising than Descartes' own solution.
