As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2019, three apprentices at UCAS discuss why they chose the apprenticeship route, their experiences so far, and plans for the future.

National Apprenticeship Week is 14-18 March 2016. Students submitted 9,330 apprenticeship applications through UCAS’ service for pre-university courses – UCAS Progress – last year; up 20% on 2014.

The number of students accepted onto nursing courses in higher education in 2017 was 28,620, the second highest figure on record, a 0.9% decrease on 2016.
